This policy sets out the terms under which refunds and cancellations apply to services offered by Emilie Roussety trading as UXcelerate. By purchasing or engaging our services, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms.

To request a refund or cancellation, email info@emilieroussety.com with your invoice number and reason. We will acknowledge within 2 business days.

1. CX & UX Audit

The Audit is a fixed-scope engagement with a defined deliverable. Refund eligibility is based on the stage at which cancellation is requested:

  • Before kick-off, 100% refund of any amount paid.
  • After kick-off, before delivery, 50% refund. Work completed to the point of cancellation is retained by UXcelerate.
  • After delivery of the audit report, no refund. The service is considered fully rendered upon delivery of the final report.

If UXcelerate is unable to commence or complete the audit for reasons within our control, a full refund will be issued.

2. Consulting

  • Before project commencement, 100% refund.
  • After commencement, before 50% completion, 50% refund. Completion is assessed against milestones agreed in your engagement letter.
  • At or beyond 50% completion, no refund. Work delivered to date is retained.

3. Retainers

All retainer engagements carry a minimum commitment of 3 months, regardless of tier.

  • During the minimum commitment period, cancellation is not available. The full remaining commitment period is payable.
  • After the minimum commitment period, the retainer continues on a month-to-month basis and either party may terminate with 30 days written notice. Notice to UXcelerate should be sent to info@emilieroussety.com. The current billing period is non-refundable.
  • If the required 30 days notice is not given, a cancellation fee equal to one (1) month's retainer fee applies, in addition to any retainer payment already due. This compensates for time allocated, planning, and opportunity costs arising from reserved availability.
  • Unused hours or sessions, unused time within a billing period does not carry over and is not refundable.

If UXcelerate is unable to deliver retainer services for reasons within our control, a pro-rata refund will be issued for the affected period.

4. Downloadable assets

If a brochure, template, or downloadable asset has been accessed or downloaded as part of an engagement, that portion of the service is considered delivered and is not eligible for refund.

5. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase via our bank's payment gateway. Please allow 5–10 business days for the refund to appear, depending on your card issuer.

Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency. UXcelerate is not responsible for exchange rate differences between the date of payment and the date of refund.

6. Circumstances that void refund eligibility

  • The service has been fully delivered as agreed.
  • The cancellation falls outside the windows defined in this policy.
  • The client has breached the terms of the engagement agreement.
  • The request is made more than 30 days after the invoice date, unless exceptional circumstances apply.

7. Disputes

If you are dissatisfied with a service outcome, please contact us at info@emilieroussety.com before initiating a chargeback with your card provider. We are committed to resolving concerns fairly and promptly.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting UXcelerate may result in suspension of ongoing services pending resolution.

8. Changes to this policy

UXcelerate reserves the right to update this policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
